Our Story
Travel as it
was meant to be.
Founded 2007
Born from a belief that travel should transform, not just transport.
LuxeTravel began in a small apartment in Geneva, where our founder Sophia Hartwell — then a UN diplomat — kept a notebook of the world's most extraordinary places that never made it into any guidebook. Places where local families still cooked over open fires, where ancient temples sat undiscovered in jungle clearings, where the night sky was so dark you could navigate by starlight.
She left diplomacy in 2007 with one conviction: that the most meaningful travel experiences weren't about luxury in the conventional sense. They were about access — to people, places, and moments that most travelers never reach.
Today, LuxeTravel employs 60 specialists across 14 offices worldwide. We've designed over 12,000 journeys. But our philosophy hasn't changed: every itinerary we create is a story waiting to be lived.

Our Mission

The People Behind the Journeys
Meet the team.
Every LuxeTravel specialist has lived in, not just visited, their region of expertise. This is the difference between a tour and a transformation.
